The Cooper Voice Studio offers a wide variety of Workshops and Master Classes to enhance and advance studio members in all realms of technique and artistry.  The line is sometimes blurred between the descriptions of these two phrases, but here's the gist...

WORKSHOPS  typically involve a large or small group of participants working toward a similar goal (or list of goals).  For example...

1. Vocal Technique Workshops   focus on the technical aspects of singing.  Participants collectively learn about the anatomy of breathing and phonation, how both systems function separately and in synergy, how to balance strengths and weaknesses in one's voice, and so on.

2. Summer/Winter Intensive Musical Theater / Classical Workshops focus on artistry, collaboration, performance practice, improvisation, acting, etc. These workshops sometimes result in a "musical revue" performance produced at a local community venue.

MASTER CLASSES typically involve a smaller group of participants (all studio members, or a selection of studio members) working toward individual goals.  For example...

1.  Studio Master Classes focus on preparing studio members for an upcoming Studio Recital, collaboration with a live pianist, acting and expression for a solo song performance (emotionally moving an audience with only your presence and voice... no costumes, sets, etc.).  These can be helpful preparation for auditioning.  Jennifer Cooper serves as the instructor/clinician.

2. Special Master Classes focus on the above mentioned elements, but students are typically pre-selected, and a colleague clinician is brought in to work with students (to gain new perspective, exposure to other experts in the industry, etc.).
